UltraShop

Overview & Challenge: UltraShop is an internet marketplace for Lifestyle Consumer Electronics and a distributor of Plantronics and Cygnett in India.

Despite being one of the top five giants of online gadget portals with a constantly growing online market, UltraShop didn’t have a reciprocating brand presence. The company turned to PDS to create a marketing impetus and build a buzz around the brand.

PDS role was to design, develop and launch a unique brand proposition differentiating it among the competing players in online gadget arena. Since they were one of the hippest, youth-oriented lifestyle online gadget stores, we wanted their story to be fun, fresh and edgy.

Action: Through a meticulous user profiling, we identified their target audience and key value propositions that aligned with their brand – being current to today’s technology, being fashionable, staying connected and ensuring protection. We planned to elevate individual brand perception and drive awareness and sales through creating memorable digital brand experiences. Dictated by consumer conversations and market events, we created a series of gadget-centric contests and delivered it socially via Facebook.

Our agile digital team kept a sharp eye on the ongoing campaigns, smartly tracking and monitoring the audience’s response. And correspondingly, took real time actions making the best of the incoming organic traffic. Sporadically, we boosted key posts driving wider reach and engagement.

Results: The sum total of campaigns ran by us created an unprecedented engagement with the brand and earned them a recorded number of impressions.

Our Facebook contests were fresh and edgy – UltraShop Sweepstakes, UltraShop Teen Patti and Word Search – and all fared amazingly well. The participants and the winners turned into their advertisers, maximizing the shares and organic likes. Coupled with great gadgets as prizes, the contests got ten times response of what we were expecting.

Our innovative campaigns helped them building an engaging community with +10K likes (and still counting). This was inevitably followed by a huge surge in online sales. The page engagement also improved by 15%. Owing to our SMO activities, UltraShop’s facebook page started securing top rankings on Google.
